The Thulo Puwa Khola gravel trap is 8.0 m long, 2.7 m wide and 1.80 m deep. Likewise, the Sano Puwa Khola gravel trap is 3.0 m long, 2.6 m wide and 1.5 m deep. The normal operating level of the Thulo Puwa Khola gravel trap and the Sano Puwa Khola gravel trap has maintained at an elevation of 1408.4 m and 1412.04 m respectively. The width of inlet channel of gravel trap is 1.0 m and width of outlet channel is 1.55. Similarly, in the Sano Puwa Khola, the width is 1.0 m at the beginning and 1.05 m at the end of the channel.
The desander in the Thulo Puwa Khola is 27.5 m long, 4.5 m wide and 2.3 m deep including a 0.3 m free board. It was designed and constructed for a discharge of 1.50 m3/s and its transition length was 7.5 m. In addition, a 0.5 m x 0.5 m size flushing gate was provided in the desander. Similarly, the Sano Puwa Khola desander is 24.0 m long, 3.5 m wide and 2.0 m deep including a free board of 0.3 m. It was designed and constructed for a discharge of 1.10 m3/s and its transition length is 7.0 m. In the Sano Puwa Khola also, the desander has a 0.5 x 0.5 m flushing gate. The normal operating level of the desanding basin of the Thulo Puwa Khola and the Sano Puwa Khola are maintained at elevations 1408.22 m and 1412.03 m respectively.
